College magazine launch.

To promote the launch of my magazine I would advertise it on large, popular social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. This would engage my target audience as a lot of teenagers use this so it would easily get passed around. I would post links on these websites to the magazines actual website. On Twitter the college could post weekly tweets announcing what would be in the magazine that week- which would prompt the students into knowing and being able to plan if they are going to purchase i.t
I could also advertise on the actual Wyke website. The majority of students check the website frequently, if on the homepage they saw an advertisement for the magazine it would be sure to catch their eye. Doing so would attract the vast majority of students at the college.
In the print version of my magazine I would make sure it had something catchy to make the students want to buy it. For example I could feature free vouchers or tickets to a party in the magazine. I would make sure they weren't avaliable online as the students wouldn't bother buying it if they can just read the magazine online. The benefits of engaging the audience online is that it's easy to access so everyone can get onto it and see what it is they are possibly going to buy. It would also attract the audience to the website itself which would attract viewers.
