I created a questionnaire on my front page and asked 6 people what they thought. I asked 3 girls and 3 boys to get a varied opinion to match my audience gender.
Q What attracts you most on the front page?
3 people said the main image of the student as she is central and is looking happy.
1 person said the surroundings (background) on the front page
2 people said the cover lines as they are bold and large therefore stand out.
Q Do you think the price is reasonable, too high, or too low?
4 people said reasonable
2 person said too low
0 people said too high
Q Would you personally buy this magazine?
All 6 said yes as it's an easy way to keep updated with Wyke College. Another student said yes as they don't have much internet access to see the online Wyke website. Another student said yes because it was cheap enough to purchase and offered free tickets.
I also got some positive and negative comments back from friends.
Positive:
-The colour scheme works well with the Wyke college logo and the book the student is holding.
-The student looks happy which shows a good representation of the college.
-Some is easy to read on the page and not squashed.
Negative: Couldn't read the writing very well on the bottom cover line as it blended in a bit too much with the background.
-The thumbnails too small and can't read the anchorage.
-Hard to notice the price unless looking carefully as the colour blends a little.
